from hating my period to celebrating my feminine cycle /// my journey of womb healing and manifesting a painless period

in a video that I filmed years ago, entitled something about mind power / manifestation and changing the story of my "sleep problems" and severe pain that I'd dealt with for a long time, I vaguely talked about manifesting getting rid of period pain. I didn't mention what the pain actually was, but I've been wanting to talk about it more in-depth for a while now, and I am going to talk about it more in-depth in this article.

for a long time, I dealt with severe period pain and even cysts, and I've been to the ER multiple times over the past decade for the awful pain (it got to the point where pain meds barely helped at all, they would work sometimes, but a lot of times, they wouldn't -- even prescriptions). the pain wasn't just limited to during my period. it could be before, during, and last even after my period ended. and I also would and still do sometimes have a pinching pain in my lower tummy (of varied time length). I usually try to stretch it out to make it go away nowadays.

I once went 15 months without periods due to amenorrhea, something that I would still wish for over the years. part of me still does. I had a temporary amenorrhea last year (2021), due to (I believe) the way that I was eating (it didn't even need to be severely restrictive), but then my period happened again.

I started questioning things about my period a few years ago. I remember watching/reading something where someone was talking about basically questioning the idea of "childbirth being painful" and how it DOESN'T have to be, and I started questioning stuff about my period and how it doensn't have to be painful. I started questioning things more after going to the ER after that, and where I thought there would be a cyst (on my left side, aka my physiological right side), there wasn't one -- there was actually a small cyst on the other side.

I don't remember everything from that point, but my next period after that was basically painless. unfortunately, I still did deal with severe pain after this point, but finally, one year, I decided to stop taking pain medications. the pain became SO MUCH BETTER after that. I still dealt with a bit of cramping, but for so long, it wasn't that bad again. until it was (which was over a year later). and I had to go to the ER again (by the time that my fiancé and I arrived, the pelvic pain was better, but my back was hurting). that was over a year after I'd stopped taking the pain pills, and I knew that there was a message in it, a message in the severe pain.

I believe it could've been a combination of things.

even though I'd stopped taking pain pills, I was still using pain patches (including medicated ones). this is still a form of pain medication. and that time, I also used some pain med cream. I don't want to rely on medications. I like natural remedies, and I believe that there are messages in pain, illnesses, and other things, too. I self-reflect. I think about possible messages and meanings in/of things.

and, at the time, we were also living in a hostile/abusive environment, a household that was not our own, and where I did not feel welcome or safe. also, my pain was trivialized by two members of the household who didn't even understand what it was like, who acted like it wasn't even bad enough to justify going to the ER ("it's not that bad, Amy").

and I was consuming more processed/packaged food, stuff that had soy in it, and stuff out of plastic or that's packaged in plastic. (we generally try to avoid eating processed/packaged stuff and plastic-ey stuff and too much soy as much as reasonably possible. I do want to add, though, that I still sometimes do consume stuff like that, but the pain is still getting better.)

I believe in talking to my body, to my cells, etc. this is something that I started doing YEARS ago. I'm not sure exactly when I started talking to my body/cells or exactly when I started talking to my period / my womb / whatever, but I still do and will continue to do so. I also put my hand on my lower tummy / rub it sometimes, whether I'm talking to it or not.

in the past, I would sometimes "transmute" period pain in a way that would "split the pain" between my lower abdomen and another area, like my inner thigh or my lower back. and although transmuting the pain can make it seem more bearable, the pain is still pain. there's still discomfort. but a little while back, I started trying transmuting the pain into something else, like heat. also, I want to add that I still do use a heating pad. there are still concerns with that, though, because with heating pads, either it's an electric one or a microwavable one (the latter of which I haven't used in a long time). I've been wanting to get this really cute pawprint water bottle from Amazon. (it's not shaped like a drinking water bottle, it's bigger.) I also want to add that something else that has helped me before is subliminals for period pain. for example, one time when I was dealing with the cramps, I fell asleep listening to subliminals for period pain, and I woke up feeling better.

that severe pain episode was earlier this year. do I still experience period cramps thus far? yes, to an extent, but it's been getting better again. I still don't use pain reliever pills, and I'm not using pain patches anymore.

advice for practicing minimalism | reasonable minimalism and feeling empowered, not burdened

"“Why is this so hard” becomes “How can I make this easier?”" - Tonya Leigh.

1: you don't need to get rid of everything. minimalism is subjective. it is a philosophy, a principle, a practice. it is something that you practice over time. you can practice minimalism to whatever extent may be reasonable for you. you're the one who gets to decide what you resonate with as it relates to this subjective philosophy. I personally like both minimalism and maximalism. I like collecting things and decorating, and it needs to be very organized, -- things need places to be organized into, it helps to have things organized on the walls, with shelves/bookcases, toy hammocks, in drawers, on or in a desk/dresser/table, etc. also, as someone who deals with hoarding, it's important to me to be able to get rid of some things sometimes, which can feel empowering. minimalism should feel empowering, not like a burden. intend to feel empowered and practice minimalism in a way that is reasonable for you.

2: "little by little, bit by bit." you don't need to get rid of things all at once or all the time. it's a practice and a process. try to regularly de-clutter unnecessary junk so that it's not being hoarded and/or piling up. you don't have to feel like you need to go through the whole house and garage or whatever all at once or all in one day/week/month, etc. plan for long-term progress (that doesn't mean that you need to plan it all out, just intend to practice it long-term). minimalism isn't a one-size box that you need to rigidly fit your life into, plan for minimalism to fit into your life. you can take small steps and make some more progress over time. ask yourself how you can make things easier.

3: prevent. find ways to prevent unnecessary clutter. unsubscribe from spam (digital or snail mail, etc.), cancel shopping subscriptions that you don't need or want, really think about how much you want something before you buy it. re-use or re-purpose stuff. try one or a few things at once instead of a lot (renting less books from the library, buying less variations of things that you want to try until another time, etc.). save old paper or newspaper for the fireplace.

stuff I love about working online + a list of resources

I love working online!

- I get to receive remote AND passive income from MULTIPLE income sources.

- I get to avoid the anxiety, stress, and overwhelm of a "traditional" job.

- little to no random social interaction. (I don't want to be bothered. I only want to interact with my loved ones / the people in my life that I care about.)

- working online helps me pay for groceries, skincare/hygiene products, clothing, accessories, cosplay stuff, decor, travel, entertainment stuff (games, books, etc.), building up my savings account, paying for payments/bills and financial emergencies, necessities and gifts for my fiancé and other family members, etc.

a list of some of the apps/websites/companies that I've earned money with (excluding ones that I've earned money with but hadn't yet been paid): fetchrewards, rakuten, inboxdollars, swagbucks, receipt hog, receipt pal, consumer opinion institute (they regularly send cash in the mail), youtube mcn partnership (I quit the partnership years ago), ebay, etsy (I have an etsy shop -- thekawaiimcshop.etsy.com), fiverr, etc.

venting vs talking smack

there is a difference between venting and constantly talking smack. venting usually comes with some kind of hope or intention for frustration to be relieved and for the situation to be fixed.

planning our wedding~!!! /// + a list of resources & FREE samples

💖🥰💐

Andrew & Amy

we have been / are planning our wedding, and it is coming up very soon! we've had specific themes and ideas in our mind for a long time. we already have or have ordered a lot of our wedding attire, we are still considering venues (but we know what we want the ceremony location setting to be like, definitely nature-oriented), we're planning a private ceremony, still considering inviting guests, though -- we do want to have a wedding reception/party that we invite guests to. we've already received our invitations that we chose, we'll be getting a lot of free samples in the mail soon (save-the-date cards, invitations, etc. -- there are some digital freebies as well, though), and we should be receiving our free tickets to visit (tour) a garden venue that we really like soon (which is scheduled for next week). we'll be receiving our wedding planner book in the mail soon, and I'm planning to order another one (we'll have two, then, of different styles). we are planning to get our marriage license AND to have a photo shoot this weekend. and we also do have plans in mind for our honeymoon. it's so exciting, and there's so much to look forward to! I plan to update more on our upcoming wedding and the preparation process leading up to it (and afterward, too, of course)~! and until then, blessing~!

5 guidelines for using subliminals and getting real results

THESE ARE GUIDELINES, NOT LAWS. SOMETIMES, PEOPLE STRUGGLE, AND THAT'S OKAY. SOMETIMES, THINGS THAT WE'RE TRYING TO MANIFEST DON'T SHOW UP IMMEDIATELY, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT IT'S IMPOSSIBLE OR THAT IT CAN'T SHOW UP QUICKLY. IF YOU'VE BEEN STRUGGLING, NO NEED TO GIVE UP, NO NEED TO DETACH, MAYBE THIS WILL HELP. I CAN'T GUARANTEE THE WHEN, BUT IF YOU STAY CONSISTENT, RESULTS SHOULD APPEAR WITHIN 30 DAYS. AND STAY CONSISTEN EVEN WHEN THEY DO.

first of all, it's okay to approach this from a manifestation pov and deciding that it will work immediately, it's okay to believe that you can just decide your own rules for manifesting and subliminals, etc., but some people might do that and still struggle, and that's okay. it's important to know that subliminals are literally there to reprogram the mind via the subconscious, and it can take some time and consistency to do that (either way, it's still connected to manifestation). whether it's by saying affirmations, writing them down, listening to them, imagining/visualizing, or all of the above - it's all reprogramming the mind. how long it can/will take is subjective. but with repetition and consistency, it should be these guidelines are not to be limiting, but to hopefully make things easier.

1: try listening to one subliminal for a timeframe of 30 days (30-90 in general, but 30 days is a good range, and results should start appearing before then). whether you record it yourself or not, pick one subliminal to listen to, and try listening to it as much as possible, aiming for 30 days. remember that saying that it takes 21 days to break/change a habit, and ofc that's subjective, too, but 30 days seems like a reasonable amount of time for the mind to fully accept and possibly cement (as much as possible) affirmations.

2: audible affirmations. I strongly suggest listening to subliminals where you can actually hear the affirmations, and then just turn the volume really low and focus on something else. you want to be able to hear what's being said, and possibly read the affirmations if they're listed. it's important to make sure that the subliminals that you're listening to are SAFE. stop buying into the nonsense that you shouldn't read or hear the affirmations, because "it will make it not happen". that's not true. you don't have to have the affs on blast, but it's okay to be able to hear them, whether it's at a normal level or a vague level. just focus on something else.

3: aim for less affirmations. some people say 10-15. I think 10-20 is an okay range. the important thing is repetition and consistency. the less affirmations, the more that those affirmations would be repeated.

4: avoid over-sped and over-layered affirmations.

5: boosters are unnecessary. saturate your mind with the one topic that you are trying to manifest / reprogram into your mind via ONE properly-made subliminal.

subliminal experience: manifest money subliminal + subliminal flush & hyperbolic booster

intro: (I started writing this post on the 20th of June, it's not the 23rd.alrighty, back with another installment of blogging about my experiences with subliminals. I plan to write a post / posts compiling my experiences with subliminals in general in the future.

note: I have recently listened to different money multiplier subliminals (not very much, though), and not too long after one of them (the 3rd last one), I saw a few days ago that I received money for my etsy tip jar listing. I think for this blog post, I might listen to an etsy sales subliminal. nvm, this post is going to focus on a money subliminal instead of just etsy sales, lol (my fiancé thought I should write about a money one, too.)

easy cosplay ideas! (+ improvisation advice & more on the affordable side)

 Harley Quinn (DC)

a full classic jester suit is usually around $30-$40 on eBay. I'm sure that an even lower-priced one could be found on AliExpress. a separate mask can also be bought, or face paint can be used instead. head cowl or pigtails can be utilized. super simple and doesn't require many materials, costume can even be improvised, but more items and features can be added onto the cosplay.

alternatively, Dr. Harleen Quinzel can be cosplayed with a professional work suit or a doctor's coat (depending on whether you view her as a psychologist or a psychiatrist, I personally remember her being a psychologist, and then they started calling her a psychiatrist - which is different, btw. maybe it's a Mandela effect, I dunno. lol), and some glasses.

The Joker

also another super simple cos idea. can buy a suit or improvise with any Joker-suit-themed shirt or outfit, wig can be used OR colourful hairspray OR an editing app such as Meitu or FaceTune2. add some makeup/facepaint onto that, and that's basically it. the cos can stand alone like that or some other props/features can be added onto that. yellow teeth not required, lol.

L (Death Note)

this one is also really simple. a costume can be worn or just wear a white t-shirt or dress shirt, some dark pants, and either a wig, dark colour spray for hair, OR edit with an app, and contacts can be used for the eyes, or they can also be edited in the app. add some dark eyeshadow or smudge some dark eyeliner around the eyes. easy peasy.

Homura Akemi (Madoka Magica)

also kind of simple. she has long black hair, which is either in braids or straight down - a wig or extensions and clip-in bangs can be used, black hair spray can be used or an editing app for the hair colour, purple contacts / circle lenses can be used or edit the eyes as well. a white dress shirt (with or without a beige/taupe/white jacket or sweater), a black or grey or dark plaid skirt, dark leggings or tights, and a red bow can all be worn to simulate her casual outfit, or a costume can be purchased online.

I plan to add more to this list soon!
