"Words.
They do & don't define.
On the edge of my lips, they wait, and they happen.
In my mind, they sit, and they swirl.
They plague, and they redeem.
My heart holds onto words that have been said - whether good or bad - even after time has passed.
They are a gift and a craft.
They have the power of clarity and the enigma of elusivity.
They occur, and they escape.
Words can be bittersweet, and they can heal or destroy.
They have the power to bring together or to tear apart.
They say that tears are words that need to be written, and - whether or not that is true - tears are like the unspoken expressions of the words that define our feelings.
Words float around in my brain, along with images, causing peace or chaos.
Words that are written on my papers, in my journals, or in other digital forms.
Words can enhance or hide.
They can be true or untrue.
They have so many possibilities.
They have the power to build me up or to break me down.
Simply a word, simply a few words, can change life, love, hope, faith, practically anything.
They can gently caress a heart or brutally break it.
Words, thought and / or said, can express wishes.
They're a form of communication and of creativity.
