4 Popular Items that Sell at a Yard Sale

1. Books.
Especially paperbacks. You can buy them in bulk for a very inexpensive amount at libraries, discount stores and thrift shops, Salvation Army, Good Will. Libraries usually have a day where you can fill a bag or two with books for a few dollars. If bought new they can be a pretty penny, meaning a little expensive, which is why they will be a hot commodity at a yard sale. Good genres include mystery, romance, history, children's early readers, comics, and movie books.

2. Furniture.
Things like couches, mirrors, picture frames, candles and candle holders will sell nicely.

3. Movies.
Movies can sell pretty well, dependent upon how well they look and charging a fair price (aka, dirt cheap). Having a lot of movies stacked together can be both good and bad. It's good because it shows the whole variety of what people can choose from, but it also makes browsing the movies a little difficult since the customers have to sort through them to see what's available. They could go for about $1 - $5, depending on how old, new, VHS, or DVD, etc.

4. Sets.
Sets of glasses, tumblers and cups, dinner plates, and unused silverware can be a great bargain, since no one really wants to buy 1 plate at a yard sale, or an expensive set at a store. So this will be consider a steal.
