Three Short And Sweet Otaku / Slice-Of-Life Anime Shows.

The following shows are pretty much all similar to "Himouto! Umaru-Chan".
The following shows might not be suitable for children.

"Chitose Get You!" is a show about a trouble-making little girl (named Chitose) that has a crush on an older guy (whom she calls Onii-chan, but rest assured that he isn't her older brother) that works at the town hall ... only she's in elementary school. Her elementary school teacher also happens to like the same guy. Chitose causes a bit of drama for the guy and for her teacher. Her friends are also there to join in for the ride. The length of the episodes of this series are under three minutes long. This anime contains suggestive and / or strange themes.

"Ai-Mai-Mi" is a show about a group of high-school-age girls in a Manga club (where hardly any Manga is actually drawn). They have wild imaginations and go on crazy adventures together. The length of the episodes of this series are under three minutes long. This anime contains suggestive and /or violent themes.

"I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying" is a show about a slightly mismatched (yet still likeable) couple that kind of struggle to understand each other's interests. The young husband is a fanatical otaku that runs a weblog, and the young wife is a high-class business woman. She tags along with him to have great "nerdiful" adventures. The length of the episodes of this series are under four minutes long. This anime contains suggestive and / or sexual themes.

A SHORT AND SWEET REVIEW OF BATISTE'S DRY SHAMPOO.

Batiste is a cruelty-free and vegan-friendly brand!

Their dry shampoo smells nice, is easy to use, and isn't too expensive!

Some of the dry shampoos even have options with and / or for hair colour(s)!

The price range may vary from store to store and depending on which kind
you buy (anywhere from around $5.00 to $10.00), but the quality is worth it!

Personally,  I usually use their "Original" dry shampoo, and it is
now my go-to dry shampoo (and it has been for quite a while now)!

SHADY INTERNATIONAL SELLERS, GET IT TOGETHER.

(This post is not to say that national sellers never do shady things, these are just my own personal experiences with international sellers.)

I've been on eBay for a while now (as both a buyer and a seller), although I previously used a different account. The frustrating thing is that a lot of international sellers too often take advantage of the people that buy from them (and I'm not saying that all of the international sellers on this website do this), but it's happened enough for it to be frustrating. I'll list a few different occasions of this happening in this post.

1: I bought an electronic device on eBay a few years ago, but I only received a package with the electronic device's case inside of it. The electronic device was not included. To my knowledge, that was not what was advertised, but - unfortunately (for me, at the least) - I had made the payment as a guest, so there wasn't very much that I could have done about it.

2: I bought a pair of shorts on eBay, but when it arrived, it didn't really look anything like the picture. Maybe it looked a little similar, but those shorts that I received were obviously a cheap imitation of the shorts that I had "kind of" thought that I was buying. I made a complaint to the seller, and I was issued a refund. (Yes, I am aware that this frequently happens to people that buy from China. But I have received things before that actually did look like their pictures. I do understand, though, that it would be kind of wise to avoid buying certain things from China.)

3: I bought some kind of a hair band on eBay, but - apparently - it never arrived (or, at the least, it didn't arrive at the address that it was supposed to be sent to ... unless something else happened.) I tried to mention this to the seller (a few months later, I believe) after I realized this, but they didn't really do anything (besides seeming to feign ignorance).

4: I just bought three lipsticks on eBay the other day, but - after kind of regretting the purchase (for personal reasons ... but I'm not exactly sure about whether or not I would have cancelled the order if not for the next reason) and realizing that they were most likely dupes (and therefore most likely not cruelty-free), I decided to cancel the whole transaction and request a refund. The person responded back to me once, and they haven't responded back to me ever since. I've already experienced the "communication drop-out" - or, rather, the "communication drop-off" - (so to say) with international eBay sellers before. (About two months ago, I was asking some eBay sellers about expedited shipping and / or express shipping, and most of them would just stop replying to me after ONE MESSAGE ... *some* people may remember this as being the "dress situation" that I've previously mentioned before online [not on eBay, though]), and I just have a feeling that they are neither going to respond, nor are they going to issue me a refund (most likely ... they still could do so, I guess, but I'm really doubting that they will even bother now ... unless I take the issue to eBay).

This isn't to say that I haven't actually received items from international sellers before, because I have (albeit somewhat late sometimes, but some of them were actually nice enough to refund my payments due to the lateness ... but - after considering this, I guess - an item being a little bit late doesn't necessarily mean that it warrants a refund [depending on the situation, of course], because the item was still received, right? Just as the "If we don't get there in under thirty minutes, then the pizza is free!" thing *seems* to have kind of faded out. But I guess that it was still nice of them to do that). I've even had someone offer to issue me a half-refund due to a negative reaction that I had to some supplements that I purchased from them (but maybe that was more out of worry about their own reputation?).

This also isn't to say that I "always" get refunds for what I buy, by the way ... it's just that I'm mentioning those particular situations. I've made a lot of purchases on eBay. I've been refunded for *some* of them. MY aim isn't to rip people off ... unlike some people [apparently]. Especially since I know how that feels. These are examples of other people actually being able to do right by a customer ... instead of taking no responsibility and just ignoring the customer. Customers and / or sellers may not *always* be "right", but we should - all of us - at least have some common decency and not rip each other off.

These are some more positive experiences, I guess. But the negative experiences can just be frustrating.

Of course, I do realize (maybe now more than ever, and it's not that I was unaware of the potential dangers) that I'll have to be even more careful when making international purchase. The risks don't really seem worth the price anymore.

If anyone that has read and / or is reading this post is a moderator, an administrator, and / or a representative of eBay, please feel free to step in and help me out with this frustrating situation.

Brahms Heelshire ("The Boy") | My YouTube Comments.

Well, like other people have already mentioned, there's the whole thing with the plot, and then there's also the possible "questionability" of some of the rules (other people have mentioned the "How would you feed a doll?" argument ("Even if a doll is haunted, how would they eat?" That sort of thing. A spirit wouldn't necessarily need to eat, let alone a haunted doll ... unless the spirit was inside of a mortal being.) I basically get what you're trying to say about doing what you've been hired to do, but - in some situations - one might consider the "how" aspect. She didn't think that there was a spirit inside of the doll, so maybe she didn't think that it would be very necessary to do those things if he was not really living. She did eventually start to follow the rules. As for the twist, there have been so many movies about "haunted objects", and I believe that the writer wanted to go down a different path from the common cliches of those kind(s) of movies. Well, anyway(s) ... to each their own, I guess.

Nope. There would be (and, technicaly, are) certain conflicting characteristics that would (and, technically, do) prevent such a thing. (Anyone that has seen "The Boy" would probably understand what I mean. Anyone that has not seen "The Boy" probably would not understand what I mean.)

I usually describe certain things as "okay" (and I don't really mean "bad" when I say that), but I guess that this is one of those rare and / or few exceptions where I'll describe something as "good". This movie had minimal jump scares, a mysterious aspect, and a twist to the story.

☺ Yeah, it's not really what people might be expecting before they watch it. There are minimal jump scares, a mysterious aspect, and a twist to the story (and, hopefully, that's not really spoiling anything). I wouldn't really say that it would have people screaming, though. I usually describe certain things as "okay", but I guess that this is one of those few and / or rare exceptions where I call something "good". I wasn't expecting to feel the way that I feel about this movie, but I do ... so ... that's that. ☺

Nope, but there might be something slightly correct in the idea of that theory, but it doesn't have to do with Malcolm or Emily Cribbs. Other people have mentioned other things about Brahms Heelshire and Greta Evans [in this "comment thread", but there is a twist that some people might not know about. I'm not really one for giving out spoilers, though (so ... hopefully, what I said isn't really much of a spoiler). You'll just have to watch the movie to find out ... or read about it online, I guess (if you haven't already done one of those things). Edit: Ashley Faminial kind of has a good point. Some people will have a grave / tomb site for a person (and / or people) even if there is no body (and / or are no bodies) to bury. To address someone else's (Kray Lake's) comment, Brahms Heelshire would actually be about 28 years old, not 30 years old (yet ... at the time of and / or in this movie). As for the fire (since it isn't really addressed in the movie ... but there do seem to be some things that might hint to a certain kind of conclusion), I guess that I kind of have my own suspicions (which could be correct or incorrect). Since it isn't really addressed in the movie, I guess that it wouldn't really be considered a "spoiler" to discuss it. I guess that I kind of suspect that his parents might have tried to burn him alive (after they found out about the incident with the little girl), and then maybe they felt really bad for what happened and possibly started to "over-compensate" in a strange sort of way to "make up" for it (leading to the events in the movie). (?) (Johao Gomez kind of has the right idea ... maybe without even realizing. Gino Robles also mentioned a key point, too ... maybe without even realizing it, too. Lavender Cupcake is just a little bit off. Mariah Diaz is also just a little bit off when it comes to the motive of what was being discussed and the conclusion of the story. Brendan Man has the right idea when it comes to giving away spoilers. Don't do it. Hahaha. Seb92ify makes a good point about everyone being who they are, but I'd say that Greta Evans is / was a "little bit" more than just "a gift" when it comes to Brahms Heelshire. According to the writer, she's supposed to be some kind of twist of two somethings for him.)

CONTROVERSIAL AND / OR OFFENSIVE COSTUMES.

I don't "celebrate" Halloween (I stopped "participating" in it a while ago), but a costume is a costume (no matter the occasion that it's for) ... whether or not it's "controversial" and / or "offensive" (or even if it just *seems* that way to some people). People should try to use common sense and common courtesy and intelligent judgement when it comes to things that may actually hurt people. People should try to ask themselves: "Is this really a collective issue? Or is is just an individual issue?" Some things might really just be a personal issue, and not really a public issue. ("'Everything is permissible,' but not everything is beneficial. 'Everything is permissible,' but not everything is edifying." - 1 Corinthians 10:23.) (This is not an endorsement for Halloween. This comment is mainly just to adress the subject of [controversial and / or offensive] costumes.)

MY RECENT INSTAGRAM "RANT".

I wrote the following on the 16th / 17th September 2016:

"Happy Sabbath! (Yes, I do know that the Sabbath started [about 7] hours ago ... I was planning to post this earlier, but then I put it off due to feeling like posting it at the "right time" and / or after a certain amount of time. And ... let me be clear about this ... I am not "bragging" about this.) (And ... also ... yes, I do realize that this picture is similar to the last one, but it's not the same one. I have a specific and / or particular picture / theme format thing going on, and it's been going on for a while ... if no one has noticed. Let's just say that things kind of need to be even. Let's just leave it at that for now, I guess.) (Also, since I've kind of been fixating on this ... I was going to comment on someone's picture ... but then I didn't because I kept on fixating about everything in the comment ... and then I didn't post it ... and then I fixated over not posting it ... and then I felt like I wanted to die (not just because of that, though ... this has been happening a lot lately ... and I'm not just trying to make it seem like these "little" things are the only things ever ... and someone (an "SJW") is probably just going to pop out of nowhere saying that that's not all that there is ... and that I'm making it look stereotypical or trivial.). Yeah, I know ... it's so "funny" ... haw-haw-haw. Plus, if anyone thinks that I'm being "too open" ... you really don't even know me at all. Don't say that I'm being too open, especially when being open is complicated for me. I'm actually trying here. It's complicated. Life is complicated. Mental health is complicated. I just wanted to point that other thing out ... because I, at the least, wanted to put that out there ... that I was going to comment something on it. It was going to be a Peter Parker [Spider-Man] quote.) (The thing that he said to Bucky Barnes [The Winter Soldier].) (I think that maybe it's time that I put this out there publicly ... I've recorded some mental health videos in the past ... and I don't really post them. I did recently post that one of me singing a song that I changed the lyrics of ... to say "mental health" instead ... so ... there's that.) #HappySabbath. #MentalHealth."

------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the picture that I was going to comment on (it was posted by @/confidentrose of and / or from Instagram): https://www.instagram.com/p/BJvG4McD0G0/.

This is the comment that I was going to leave  (but, honestly, it probably would have just seemed stupid and / or silly):
"You have a metal arm? That is awesome, dude!" - Mister Peter Benjamin "Pete" Parker (Spider-Man) (who is portrayed by Mister Thomas Stanley "Tom" Holland) [said] to Sergeant James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes (The Winter Soldier) (who is portrayed by Mister Sebastian Stan) in the movie "Captain Amerca: Civil War" (which was released in 2016).

I CAN'T STOP FIXATING.

I just feel like I can't stop fixating. I feel like it's taking over my life. I feel like I don't have a choice when those thoughts make me feel like I absolutely have to do something ... that I have no choice ... that I have no option. I don't want to carry on. I don't want to just "get help". (EDIT / UPDATE [19 SEPTEMBER 2016]: Ugh. I lost the other edit thing that I wrote. Oh, well. Anyway(s) ... I have been looking into treatment options, psychologists, mental health centers and / or clinics. But we still need to wait for all of the insurance stuff to be worked out, and - even then - there's still no guarantee that they will choose to provide me with coverage again. I mean, they did stop my insurance plan / coverage for a reason right. It's not necessarily that I "don't want to get help". I've been researching my options. DUH. But I'm kind of getting sick of waiting and just continuing to live like this.) I don't want to kill myself, but I don't want to carry on like this. I've considered psychologists and treatment, but everything has just been taking so long. And I know that it isn't the end of the world, but sometimes it just feels like the smaller the fixations are, the worse that it really is. I don't want people to think that I'm just trivializing the disorder if some of my fixations seem "too small" to them, but I know that my struggles are valid (even if stupid people that don't know might think the opposite). I know that fixations are fixations ... no matter how small. Obsessions are obsessions. Compulsions are compulsions. Those people that act like "BREAK THE STIGMA!" and then turn around and act like they get to make judgement calls on whether or not you have those problems ... THEY are the ones that are causing the stigma. "Oh, I get so p*ssed off when people think that they have OCD." If you're going to act like THAT, then why should anyone believe YOU either? Hmmm? That's such a bad attitude. That's such a horrible attitude. That's such a terrible attitude. Get over yourself! You're not the only person with OCD! You're not the authority on mental health! You don't have a say in whether or not someone else is really suffering! Get off of your little Whisper application / Buzzfeed soapbox. Stop being a selfish, spoiled little "social justice warrior". Other people have problems, too. And I know that I'm being kind of harsh here ... and I feel like I usually try to avoid that and keep it kind of calm ... or whatever ... but this is stupid. It's stupid that I even have to think about people like that telling me that I don't have a certain mental health problem just because some of the problems that I might mention are "too small". I haven't told you my whole life story, and I probably won't. I know what I have, and I know what I've gone through. I know that I don't have to care about what other people think, so I don't really need anyone to tell me that. If you think that this is being "too open" ... please. Talking about things is already complicated as it is. I don't need people telling me not to be "open" when being "open" is already complicated. No wonder so many more people have problems opening up, because they will be judged if they do. People will act like they are always like that. And I'm not saying that it's necessarily about judgements. Just ... whatever.

CAN NON-ASIAN "FOREIGNERS" SUCCEED IN THE K-POP GENRE?

QUESTIONS ARE NOW "RACIST". The questioner, Maria J., wasn't saying that any kind of "visibly Asian" person couldn't be considered a "foreigner". She was saying that, *IN / FOR THIS QUESTION*, she was using the term to mean foreigners to Korea (and / or Asia). Maybe she could have / should have worded it better (so as to not offend the "almighty" Korean. (Yes, this person refers to himself in the third person. He calls himself "the Korean". That's not "racist"? It's not "racist" to label yourself as only one part of your identity and make a career off of it? No, it's probably actually really not.) Racism is a real and serious thing. But people nowadays are seriously crying wolf when it comes to racism. Racism is an extreme prejudice and / or discrimination towards / of other people based on their race. This question didn't seem very prejudiced and / or discriminatory.

("Dear Korean,

How ready do you think Korea is for a foreigner in the K-pop scene? My definition of a foreigner in Korean market would be someone who isn't Korean and does not look visibly Asian.

Maria J."

I'm sure that what Maria J. meant was that, IN THIS QUESTION, she was using the word foreigner to mean someone that isn't Asian and / or of Asian decent. It was not meant to exclude Asian people and / or people of Asian decent ... at the least, not in a prejudiced and / or discriminatory way. The reason, I believe, that this person was referring only to non-Asians is probably because it's (maybe ... just maybe) considered a little bit more "normal" and / or "common" (SCRATCH THAT ... "not out of the ordinary") to see non-Korean Asians in the K-Pop Genre. There aren't as many non-Asians in the K-Pop Genre. A lot of times, people wouldn't really notice if someone in a K-Pop group was not Korean (if they were still Asian). It would *OBVIOUSLY* be and / or it is more noticeable if and / or when a there is a non-Asian member in a K-Pop group. It's still seems kind of "normal" if a non-Korean Asian person is in a K-Pop group. So ... basically, this person was just trying to ask about what it's like for a non-Asian person to be in a K-Pop group and how successful such a person could be.

"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST", STOCKHOLM SYNDROME, AND BESTIALITY.

"#WomensEqualityDay". Women are already equal to men (and not just on one day ... every single day). Women already have rights. There may be sexist people and / or people that try to / want to try to hinder those rights, but that doesn't mean that those rights don't exist. This is actually coming from a Disney movie's Facebook page. Isn't that kind of questionable ... considering the fact that a lot of people (feminists and / or maybe even some non-feminists) believe that this movie / story glorifies Stockholm Syndrome? First of all, Belle VOLUNTEERS herself to be taken as a prisoner in exchange for her Father. Second of all, the Beast has a change of heart / attitude / whatever (so ... basically ... he changes). And, last of all, Belle sees the good in him. She looks past the bad. President Abraham once (well, maybe not LITERALLY just once ... Who knows?) said, "If you look for the bad in people expecting to find it, you surely will." Maybe, just maybe, instead of doing that ... she decided (whether or not it was consciously) to look for the good in the Beast. AND THEN SHE FOUND IT. He became sweet, he became kind, he fell in love with her, and he set her free. He DID NOT abuse her He DID NOT psychology, emotionally, and / or physically torture her. Maybe he got angry at her for basically not being very responsive and / or "grateful" / "thankful" to him at first (when he would try to be "nice" or something), but that's kind of understandable (due to the fact that she was kind of being kept a prisoner ... but, hey, she DID volunteer herself to take her Father's place as a prisoner). He did kind of (angrily) explode on her for "trespassing" into the west wing. Right after that, he saved her (from that dangerous pack of wolves). He kind of made up for his angry / "explosive" outburst - that was aimed at her - when he saved her from that dangerous pack of wolves. And then she helped him by taking care of his wounds. They came to an understanding. They started to actually appreciate each other. They both changed and grew. He became sweet and kind to her. She even says so herself (in their song, the duet that is / was called: "Something There"). They started to develop feelings for each other, and then he probably realized that he didn't want to keep her against her will, maybe he started to feel like that was wrong. He saw how concerned that she was for her Father (who was becoming ill), and he saw that she missed her Father, also. He loved her so much, that he decided to let her go. And then after all of that, she came back to him. She loved him, too. The song "Tale As Old As Time" points out the following: "Bittersweet and strange, finding [that] you can change, learning [that] you were wrong." They were both stubborn, and maybe they both learned that that was "wrong". Maybe he learned that maybe he was wrong in keeping her there (because, think about it, right after that song / dance scene, they talk about all of that stuff, and then he decides to let her go). Maybe she learned that maybe it was wrong to only look for the bad in him and not to give him a chance (because, think about it, right after he has that angry / explosive outburst, saves her from the wolves, she helped him to treat his wolves, they both showed appreciation for each other, and then they come to an understanding with each other, the song "Something There" plays, and basically talks about actually looking for (well, SEEING) the good in him. She sees / notices some good things in him that she didn't see / notice before.) "Something There" also eludes to some of the same things (character development processes, changing, growing, etc. Basically just some positive - instead of negative - stuff.) that "Tale As Old As Time" eludes to. SO, LET'S SUM THIS UP. OKAY? SHE VOLUNTEERS HERSELF AS A PRISONER IN EXCHANGE FOR HER FATHER'S FREEDOM. HE TRIES TO NOT TREAT HER SO MUCH LIKE A PRISONER, THOUGH. THEY STILL DON'T REALLY FULLY GET ALONG. SHE TRESPASSES INTO THE WEST WING, WHERE HE EXPLICITLY TOLD HER THAT SHE WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO GO. HE ANGRILY, EXPLOSIVELY HAD AN OUTBURST TOWARDS HER, BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T LISTEN TO HIM (SHE CHOSE TO IGNORE HIS WARNINGS ABOUT HOW IT WAS OFF-LIMITS). SHE RUNS AWAY AND GETS ATTACKED BY A DANGEROUS PACK OF WOLVES. HE SAVES HER AND GETS INJURED IN THE PROCESS. SHE HELPS HIM WITH HIS WOUNDS (IN RETURN?). THEY BOTH ARGUE A LITTLE BIT, BUT THEN THEY EXPRESS APPRECIATION FOR EACH OTHER AND HOW THEY'VE HELPED EACH OTHER. THEY COME TO AN UNDERSTANDING. THEY SPEND A LOT OF (MORE) TIME TOGETHER. HE GIVES HER THE / HIS LIBRARY. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT STUFF BASICALLY HAS BEEN HAPPENING THIS WHOLE TIME (BASICALLY WHEN THEY START EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR EACH OTHER AND STUFF AND / OR THINGS). THEY'VE BEEN CHANGING AND GROWING AND LEARNING. THEY GET ALONG A LOT MORE NOW. THEY START TO FALL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER. THEY SING, THEY DANCE, THEY SCHMOOZE ... (THAT WAS KIND OF A "HERCULES" REFERENCE ... KIND OF) ... SHE MISSES HER FATHER AND IS CONCERNED ABOUT HIM AND HIS DECLINING HEALTH (BECAUSE HE IS FALLING ILL). HE NOTICES THIS, AND HE REALIZES THAT HE LOVES HER SO MUCH AND DOESN'T WANT TO KEEP HER THERE (AGAINST HER WILL?), SO HE LETS HER GO. SHE REALIZES THAT SHE LOVES HIM SO MUCH, TOO, AND THEN SHE COMES BACK TO HIM. HE ALMOST DIES, BUT THEN THE "SPELL" IS BROKEN, AND HE IS NOW NO LONGER A BEAST, NOW HE BECOMES A HUMAN AGAIN. AND THEN THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER. (AND STUFF AND / OR THINGS.) THE END. (?) ( ... MAYBE ... ) (?)
* Huffington Post: "Can't wait for another magical musical tribute to Stockholme Syndrome!"
* I JUST DEBUNKED THIS THEORY, BRO. DEBATE ME, BRO. OH, WAIT. NO. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEBATE ME. BECAUSE I ALREADY JUST PROVED THE PEOPLE THAT BELIEVE THIS STUPID FALLACY WRONG. * * AND ... P.S. ... NO, "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SO-CALLED "BESTIALITY". JUST BECAUSE HE'S TECHNICALLY A BEAST (AT ONE POINT / FOR A WHILE ... IN THE MOVIE), THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BEAST, THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT HE WOULD ALWAYS BE A BEAST, THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT HE WAS BORN A BEAST, AND THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT HE WAS BIOLOGICALLY A BEAST. HE WAS *TRANSFORMED* INTO A BEAST ... TEMPORARILY ... BY A "SPELL". HE WAS *BIOLOGICALLY* A HUMAN BEING. HMMM. THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY SOUND A LOT LIKE *ANOTHER* ARGUMENT / DEBATE (ANOTHER COMMON ARGUMENT / DEBATE THAT WE HAVE GOING ON THESE DAYS ... BUT WE WON'T GET INTO THAT FOR RIGHT NOW / IN THIS POST. HAHAHAHAHA.). *
* P.P.S. IT'S JUST A FREAKING MOVIE / STORY. GET OVER IT. *
(EDIT: SOME OTHER POINTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: THE BEAST ISN'T MANIPULATIVE TOWARDS BELLE. HE DOESN'T TRY TO BRAINWASH HER. BELLE WASN'T KIDNAPPED. HER FATHER WASN'T KIDNAPPED EITHER. THEY WEREN'T ABDUCTED. BELLE'S FATHER WAS TRESPASSING. THEN SHE ALSO TRESPASSED. HER FATHER WAS IMPRISONED IN THE BEAST'S DUNGEON. BELLE VOLUNTEERED TO TAKE HIS PLACE. THE BEAST ACTUALLY TRIED TO BE KIND AND HOSPITABLE TOWARDS HER. BELLE AND HER FATHER, MAURICE, WERE NOT HOSTAGES. THEY WERE NOT TORTURED. AND, LASTLY, BELLE IS NOT / WAS NOT ATTRACTED TO ANIMALS / ACTUAL BEASTS.)
(EDIT ... AGAIN: "There's been a lot of talk about Stockholm syndrome, that [Belle] fell in love with her captor," she said. "But I disagree! She was captured, but she transformed him. She didn't become, you know, an object. [Laughs] She didn't turn into a beast! She transformed him. So it was certainly the transformative power of love and what it can do." - LINDA WOOLVERTON. "BELLE DOESN'T HAVE STOCKHOLM SYNDROME, SAYS ANIMATED BEAUTY AND THE BEAST WRITER" BY MAX NICHOLSON: http://www.ign.com/…/belle-doesnt-have-stockholm-syndrome-s….)
(EDIT ... YET AGAIN: "But here’s some more conditions relating to Stockholm Syndrome, as provided again by Rainn.org.
There is often:
Perceived or real threat to one’s physical or psychological survival and belief that the abuser will carry out the threat. The abuser may:
Assure the victim that only cooperation keeps loved ones safe.
Offer subtle threats or stories of revenge to remind the victim that revenge is possible if they leave.
Have a history of violence leading the victim to believe they could be a target.
Presence of a small kindness from the abuser to the victim
In some cases, small gestures such as allowing a bathroom visit or providing food/water are enough to alter the victim’s perception of the abuser.
Other times, a birthday card, a gift (usually provided after a period of abuse), or a special treat can be seen as proof that the abuser is not “all bad.”
Victim’s isolation from other perspectives
Victims have the sense they are always being watched. For their survival they begin to take on the abuser’s perspective. This survival technique can become so intense that the victim develops anger toward those trying to help.
In severe cases of Stockholm Syndrome the victim may feel the abusive situation is their fault.
Perceived or real inability to escape from the situation
The victim may have financial obligations, debt, or instability to the point that they cannot survive on their own.
The abuser may use threats including taking the children, public exposure, suicide, or a life of harassment for the victim." - "MARGETHELARGE". "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: A RANT ABOUT THAT WHOLE STOCKHOLM THING" BY "MARGETHELARGE":https://margethelarge.com/2014/04/22/2/.)

LAUREN SOUTHERN: "I'M NOT GOING TO BE A PROFESSIONAL VICTIM ABOUT IT."

*NOTICE: THIS WEBLOG POST IS NOT MEANT TO BASH AND / OR CRITICIZE ANYONE.*

In the past, Milo Yiannopoulos has mentioned something called "virtue-signaling". This may not be the way that he meant it, but let's go back to Lauren Southern and her "But I'm not trying to be a professional victim!" counter that she uses when she tries to explain something that has happened to her - and question the possible implication ... Is she virtue-signaling to similar journalists and / or viewers like herself? Is talking about things REALLY that bad? I understand not making a career out of it, but, when something happens, should people always have to say that it's "not a big deal" and / or hide their feelings?

This reminds me of that time from those pesky teen years when it was bad / uncool / weak to show your feelings. Stuff like this can sometimes make it harder for people struggling with avoidance and self-disclosure to be more open and to overcome, especially when this message is coming from people that they look up to and / or respect. That's why I think that it's probably important to know when those people are being serious ... or just engaging in a little bit of cruel humour.

She says that believes in the "initial idea of safe spaces" for people that are abused and / or to talk about mental health issues, but why is it that she, and so many other niche journalists like herself, seem to make the implication that feelings are not important and shouldn't be cared about, that opening up about something is acting like a "professional victim"?
